The Transgender Erotica Awards was first presented in 2009 by Grooby Productions. The ceremony is presented annually to recognize and celebrate the industry’s top transsexual pornstars. Nominations are submitted by members of adult entertainment sites and various directors, producers, and performers.
The first trans porn awards ceremony was originally known as The Tranny Awards. The judges comprised some of today’s most recognizable porn directors, including the original pioneers of transgender porn.
